About me

Welcome! If you've found your way here then here's a little about me. I am 32 and a very proud mum to my beautiful little girl and we live in County Durham. As cliche as it sounds, drawing has always been a huge passion of mine ever since I was a child with crayons and I graduated from University College Falmouth in 2012 with a degree in Illustration. I then lived and worked abroad for several years before settling back in the North-East, deciding that the dream was to pursue a career as a full-time, professional artist. I have been drawing animals, people, nature, and all sorts of things ever since!

I currently specialize in portraiture (but not limited to) and predominantly work on pet and family/child commissions, however I have also undertaken other commissions including natural history subjects and wildlife.

Pet portraits are definitely one of the most enjoyable parts of my job. The pet portrait area is huge and constantly growing and I have years of experience in this field, expertly creating art to complement any home.

I absolutely love drawing family portraits. I do everything from babies and children to remembrance pieces. More recently, I've branched out into wedding portraits which truly are something special!

My Services

I have developed a very strong visual language over the years and I work in a realistic and highly detailed style in both graphite and colour. I create my colour drawings using professional lightfast pencils - my preferred brands being Faber-Castell Polychromos and Caran d'Ache Luminance - as these allow me to obtain the level of realism I love. I also use top-quality acid-free paper so your artwork will last a lifetime!

With portrait commissions, I like to work closely with my clients, taking the time to discuss the subject/subjects and compositions. I aim for 100% customer satisfaction and never ship a portrait unless both client and I are completely happy.

I use photographs to draw from and usually ask for more than one so that I’m able to capture the character of the subject. As an optional extra, I can offer a framing service so that your portrait is ready to hang upon receiving. Each frame is custom-made to fit the exact measurements of your portrait.

I accept commissions from all over the world! I ensure excellent protective packaging to prevent any damage during transit and a full tracking service.
